Black BambuWebsite project guide

From our conversation to your launch

Your guide to preparing for an approved Black Bambu website project.

Your website.
A clear way forward.

Here’s how we’ll move from kickoff to launch, what to have ready, and how payments line up with the work.

Plan for 6–7 weeks. A working estimate for a standard business website, once your start date is confirmed. Your proposal sets the schedule for your scope.

01 / The process

One phase at a time.

  1. Plan the site

    1 week

We confirm your goals, map the pages, and outline the content. You’ll know what each page needs to say and do before design begins.

Your part: Approve the sitemap and content outline.

  2. Shape the experience

    1–2 weeks

We align the visual direction and build wireframes: simple page layouts that establish the content, flow, and main actions.

Your part: Approve the page layouts and visual direction.

  3. Design the website

    2 weeks

The approved structure becomes your website design, with your typography, colors, imagery, and layouts for desktop and mobile.

Your part: Approve the designs. Final copy and images are due before development.

  4. Build, test, and launch

    2 weeks

We develop the approved site, add final content, and test the agreed pages, forms, and functionality. You review it before we go live.

Your part: Give final launch approval. Training is included where agreed in your proposal.

We move forward after written approval at each stage. Keep feedback consolidated and on the dates we agree. Missing content, delayed approvals, or added scope can move the launch date.

02 / What to have ready

Gather the essentials.

Start with what you have. Flag anything missing at kickoff so we can assign it and agree on a delivery date. Final copy and imagery need to be ready before development.

Check these off as you gather materials. This checklist is for your reference; it doesn’t submit files or notify Shawn.

Need help with copy, photography, or your identity? Tell Shawn before we begin. Those services are included only when listed in your proposal.

03 / Payments

Payments follow progress.

Website projects use three phased invoices. Your proposal confirms the total, each installment, and its milestone before you commit.

  1. Invoice 01

    To begin

Approve the scope and agreement, then pay the first invoice so we can confirm your start date.

  2. Invoice 02

    As the work progresses

The second invoice falls at the milestone in your proposal, keeping payment aligned with the design and development work.

  3. Invoice 03

    At completion

The final invoice covers the remaining project balance at the completion milestone agreed in your proposal.

Invoices are due upon receipt unless your agreement states otherwise. Hosting, licenses, and ongoing maintenance are identified separately in your proposal.

04 / After launch

A considered handoff.

We hand over the agreed site and access, with CMS training where included. The 30-day post-launch bug-fix window covers issues in the delivered scope. New pages, features, content updates, and ongoing maintenance are scoped separately.
